Ben Stiller Oscars 2009: Stiller Mocks Joaquin Phoenix At The Oscars (VIDEO)

Funny guy Ben Stiller shocked the audience of the Academy Awards by mimicking Joaquin Phoenix and his strange behavior recently. Check out Ben Stiller’s Oscar video below.

Ben Stiller appeared on stage with Natalie Portman wearing dark glasses and sporting a huge scruffy beard. Stiller proceeded to mock Phoenix referring to his bizarre appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman.”

“What’s going on with you?” asked Natalie Portman.

“Nothing. I just want to retire from being the funny guy, that’s all,” Stiller mumbled imitating Phoenix.

“You look like you work at a Hasidic meth lab,” she told him.

When Portman commented about his gum chewing, Stiller took it out of his mouth and stuck it on the podium. Phoenix had stuck his under Letterman’s desk.

During Phoenix’s appearance on David Letterman in February, Phoenix sported the huge beard and dark glasses and mumbled his way through the interview acting strangely.

Joaquin said he was serious about giving up acting to pursue music and said he’d like to return to the show someday as a musical guest.

“You know, that seems unlikely,” Letterman told him.
