Country Singer Josh Turner & Wife Jennifer Expecting! (Photos)

Country star Josh Turner and his wife Jennifer, are expecting their second child.  Turner’s baby is due this summer. Read more below.

Josh and Jennifer have a 2 year-old son named Hampton Otis, that will get to be a big brother.

Josh and Jennifer married in 2003 said of their son Hampton: “He’s full of energy and such a delight.” Having Hampton in their lives, “makes you richer as a person.”

Turner said he was pleasantly surprised to hear of the baby news, “I was in town writing songs one day and had been praying for something good to happen. We did write a song and it wasn’t that great, but when I came home, my wife, Jennifer, and (2-year old son) Hampton were playing and she told me she was pregnant again. Man, I was speechless! It was like, ‘Wow, we’re going this again!’”

But Turner, 31, says he is better prepared this second time around,  “I do feel more confident. Jennifer talked about little things she’s worried about but I’m like, ‘Hey we’ve been through this before.’ The fundamental things you freaked out about with the first child, I don’t think you’ll freak out about them as much. I’m more prepared for those newborn months, the crying and trying to figure out what’s wrong.”

But what does Hampton think about a new brother or sister?

“He’s excited about having a play partner,” Turner said. “He keeps talking about how he wants to snuggle with it. I’m hoping he’s going to be snuggly and not rough!”
