Police To Issue Arrest Warrant In Chandra Levy Murder: Gary Condit Cleared (Video/Photos)

Police investigating the mysterious unsolved murder of Washington intern Chandra Levy plan to issue an arrest warrant of a convicted felon, Ingmar Guandique, that is currently serving jail time. It looks as if Gary Condit’s name will finally be cleared in Chandra’s murder.

The murder suspect, Ingmar Guandique, has been serving time since July 2001 for two attacks on women in the city’s Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C., where Chandra Levy’s body was discovered in 2002.

Police plan to serve the arrest warrant on Guandique before he is paroled.

“The Metropolitan Police Department has no information available for release in this ongoing investigation. This case generated numerous bits of information, which we continue to follow up on,” police said in a statement.

The sad thing here is Representative Gary Condit being labeled a murderer and pretty much ruining his career. Although Gary Condit did have an affair with Chandra Levy, being branded a murderer when innocent is pretty sad.
