Adam Carolla Fired From CBS Radio! (Photos)

CBS Radio has decided to can “The Adam Carolla Show” and Friday is last day for the show.

Carolla took over the morning slot on KSLX in January of 2006 after Howard Stern left. Obviously their number of listeners wasn’t enough to keep the show on the air.

Some are saying that Los Angeles’s 97.1 KLSX, is doing a change in format to a more top-40-style format.

Carolla, interestingly, signed a “multiyear extension” for his “Adam Carolla Show” program at the end of 2007. A CBS Radio exec said at the time that the show had “far exceeded [CBS's] expectations and proven to be a listener favorite,” even adding that he “anticipate[d] even more success for the program in the years to come.”

Representatives from CBS Radio were not immediately available to return our request for comment.
