Blink 182 Back Together! (Photos/Video)

Great news in music these days with Blink 182 getting back together!  At the 2009 Grammy Award show, Blink 182 confirmed the rumors of their reunion. Read more on the Blink 182 reunion below.

The bank released a statement after the Grammy’s show stating:

“Hi. We’re Blink 182. This past week there’ve been a lot of questions about the current status of the band, and we wanted you to hear it straight from us. To put it simply, We’re back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album. Preparing to tour the world yet again. Friendships reformed. 17 years deep in our legacy.”

Blink 182’s return will please many of their fans who were very upset learning of their split back in 2005. The band had many platinum and award-winning albums so it came as quite a surprise.

During their split the boys have kept quite busy though. Vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLongue went on to form Angels & Airwaves, while Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker put together +44.

In November 2008, a tragic plane crash nearly took Travis Barkers life. Shortly after the tragedy, Mark Hoppus blogged that the band had started talking again. Travis Barker, the band’s awesome drummer, has said the jet crash played a huge factor in the decision to reunite with his friends and band mates.

At the Grammy’s show, Blink 182 took the stage playing one of their hits “What’s My Name Again”.
