“Dirty Bird” Touchdown Dance Creator, Jamal Anderson, Arrested For Drug Possession (Photos)

Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson has been charged with felony cocaine possession and misdemeanor marijuana possession after being arrested at an Atlanta club. Read more on Jamal Anderson’s arrest below.

Jamal Anderson is the guy that created the “Dirty Bird” touchdown celebration dance. Anderson played for the Falcons for eight seasons before leaving after a serious knee injury in 2001.  e

Atlanta police spokesman Officer Otis Redmond said Jamal Anderson, 36, was arrested early Sunday at the Peachtree Tavern in Atlanta. Another man with Jamal Anderson was also arrested.

An off-duty police officer working in security at the club alerted police. Redmond said both men allegedly had powder cocaine in their possession and that Anderson also had a joint in his pocket.

Jamal Anderson and the unidentified friend were taken to Fulton County jail. Anderson has a court hearing on the charge at 11 a.m Monday, authorities said.
