Ashley Judd VS Sarah Palin On Wolves (Photos/Video)

Alaska’s governor, Sarah Palin, is the target of a campaign by Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund which states Palin is pushing for an expanded program for the shooting of wolves from the sky. Defenders of Wildlife has released a campaign narrated by actress Ashley Judd attacking Palin. See video below.
In a graphic video narrated by Hollywood star Ashley Judd, the group claims Palin even offered a $150 bounty for the left foreleg of each dead wolf collected. You can view the video here.
“When Sarah Palin came on the national scene last summer, few knew that she promotes the brutal aerial killing of wolves. Now, back in Alaska, Palin is again casting aside science and championing the slaughter of wildlife,” Judd says in the video, which features footage of a wolf howling in pain after apparently being shot from the sky.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has lashed back and defended herself Wednesday against an ad featuring actress Ashley Judd that accuses her of “championing the slaughter of wildlife.”
In a statement released through the governor’s office, Palin called the ad, paid for by Defenders of Wildlife, “reprehensible and hypocritical.”
“The ad campaign by this extreme fringe group, as Alaskans have witnessed over the last several years, distorts the facts about Alaska’s wildlife management programs,” Palin said. “These audacious fundraising attempts misrepresent what goes on in Alaska, and I encourage people to learn the facts about Alaska’s positive record of managing wildlife for abundance.”
“Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times,” she continued.
In the ad, Judd condemns Palin for a state policy encouraging the aerial hunting of wolves.
“Palin even proposed a $150 bounty for the severed foreleg of each killed wolf,” Judd says. “And now she is encouraging even more aerial killing. It is time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery.”

The people of Alaska have VOTED AGAINST this cruel practice TWICE! Twice judges and the powers that be…Palin…have ignored the voice of the Alaskans she claims she is helping. So, I guess she is caught lying again. There is paperwork enough on BOTH sides of the issue.
Defender of Wildlife is not a crazy fringe group, as Palin SAYS, they have been around for years as a watchdog of foul practices. HUNTERS belong to DEFENDERS, REAL HUNTERS that have BALLS and stuff. THEY would never shoot an animal from a plane and have to bleed to death for hours in panic and pain. An animal has a right to a clean kill. DEFENDERS isnt saying DON´T CULL them , they are saying the method stinks.

Hi, I’m from Alaska and not afraid to admit it. Palin and Judd both fight for what they believe. I fight for what I know is right. I grew up living a subsistence tradition off the land here in Alaska. I grew up learning how to hunt for my meals, picking greens for vegetables. An yes, get the same educational college experience as other states. The balance we need to allow people to get the meals on the table, require such predator programs. They allow us to have fresh meals like you all do. Unlike you, we wait for air-bush meat that has been prior processed, frozen, sometimes melted and refrozen meat. Honestly, would you eat it? So if you have not lived the life that we live here. I would watch what you say, before you say it. Because you never know the truth, until you possible experienced it yourself. An if you feel what I say isn’t true, then I welcome you to come an live among us. To experience what you don’t know. Sometimes people like us work harder for what we have, because we don’t have the luxury of fresh grocery stores.
