Lisa Loeb & Roey Hershkovitz Wed! (Photos)

Singer Lisa Loeb and Roey Hershkovitz, the music coordinator on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” were married Saturday night in New York. Read more on Lisa Loeb’s wedding below.

Lisa Loeb, 40, is a singer that had a huge hit with “Stay (I Missed You).” Loeb also was the host of “Dweezil and Lisa” on the Food Network back in 2004.

Roey Hershkovitz, 30, is a producer on episodes of “The Office” on NBC, as well as music coordinator on Conan O’Brien.

Lisa Loeb and Roey Hershkovitz met in November of 2006. Loeb came in from Los Angeles and had brunch with Roey Hershkovitz, discussing her hosting a television pilot Hershkovitz was pitching.

At the end of the meeting, they realized she may not be appropriate for the show but apparently sparked an interest in one another.

Roey said, “She curtsied.” And he said, “I had been charmed and thought she was very cute and cool.”

As for Lisa, “I had a crush on my meeting,” she said, referring to Mr. Hershkovitz.

Lisa and Roey exchanged text messages back and forth and they agreed to meet the next time she was in New York.

In December they dined with friends on the Upper West Side, followed the next day by “a nondate” lunch date for two in Greenwich Village, where Ms. Loeb said they shared “a Fluffernutter” and also a concoction of peanut butter, banana, honey and bacon called “an Elvis.”

They started spending lots of time together but felt the timing was bad for them both. “Over a sad shrimp quesadilla, we realized that we really needed to break up,” Ms. Loeb said. “We were in different places in our lives.”

But their break-up lasted all of six weeks!  “Little by little our timelines actually came together” she said. “And by the time we went to a friend’s wedding in Washington D.C., in October 2008 we began talking about our own wedding.”

Roey Hershkovitz proposed the following month in front of a fireplace at the Maritime Hotel.

Lisa spoke about that moment: “Billecart rosé salmon pink champagne; miniature Star Wars figurines that looked like us in last year’s Halloween costumes; and he brought a boom box that played our song ‘All Night Long’ by Lionel Ritchie.” She added, “We celebrated with dinner at Scarpetta, over black pasta and every dessert, and then raced off to see AC/DC at Madison Square Garden.”
