A Wisconsin monster truck show promoter, George Eisenhart, died Sunday after he was injured in an accident Saturday night at a monster truck event. This is the second monster truck show death in a little over a week. Read more on George Eisenhart’s tragic death below.

George Eisenhart Jr., 41, president of Image Promotions, which handles Monster Truck Nationals, was hit by the Samson monster truck during the Motor Sports Monster Truck & Thrill Show Saturday night. Eisenhart died on Sunday from injuries.

A little over a week ago, a 6 year-old boy was killed when hit by flying debris at a Tacoma, Washington monster truck show.

Ironically, George Eisenhart said Friday that the accident that killed Sebastin Hizey of Puyallup, Wash., at the Monster Jam show in Tacoma on Jan. 16 was a fluke. He said it was the first time a fan had been killed at a monster truck show and added that there has never been an accident in the 16 years of the Monster Truck Nationals.

Eisenhart was crushed under a 600-pound wheel on the truck known as “Samson” driven by Daniel Patrick, 54, of Circleville, Ohio, a veteran of more than 20 years in the business, officials said.

Patrick and another driver had just completed a final car-crushing run near the end of the Monster Truck Nationals show when Eisenhart stepped out of the safety well. Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney said the first truck missed Eisenhart, but he was struck by one of Samson’s wheels.

Patrick told investigators that he didn’t see Eisenhart on the track, Mahoney said.

Town of Madison Fire Chief Dave Bloom said three medics assigned to the show responded to help Eisenhart within about a minute after the 9:30 p.m. accident. But Eisenhart died about two hours later.

Eisenhart owned Image Productions, the company that staged the show, and drivers own their own trucks, according to Mahoney. Eisenhart is survived by a wife and two daughters. Here is the video of George Eisenhart’s tragic death here.

Our condolences to the Eisenhart family.

He was not a Wisconsin promoter.. He was from Ohio, and was part of a travelling show that just happened to be in Madison, WI at the time.
