* PRINCE HARRY DUMPED BY GIRLFRIEND
British royal PRINCE HARRY has been ditched by his long-term love CHELSY DAVY – ending their five-year romance.
The pair parted ways following a series of tearful phone calls, according to British tabloid the News of the World.
And a source tells the publication that despite making the decision, 23-year-old Zimbabwean Davy is ‘distraught’ at the split.
The insider adds, “She has simply had enough. They have been going through what she calls a ‘rough patch’ and she didn’t see the point in going on.
“Their lives have been moving in different directions. Chelsy is about to embark on a career in law and being a royal girlfriend can be quite limiting.”
A royal source told the tabloid the romance had simply ‘run its course’, and that the pair were still on friendly terms.
The split marks a torrid fortnight for the 24-year-old prince – he was also embroiled in a race row after a film showing him referring to an Army colleague as “P*ki” was released. (SW/WNSNE/ZN)
