Oscar Nominations 2009 (Photos)

The 81st Academy Awards nominations have been announced today by Forest Whitaker and Sid Ganis at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. View the list below for Academy Award nominations for 2009.

Academy Award/Oscar Nominations 2009 were announced today. Take a look at who was nominated and who was snubbed this year!

Heath Ledger received a posthumous Best Supporting Actor nomination for his brilliant performance in ‘The Dark Knight.’

Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t receive a nomination for his role in ‘Revolutionary Road’ but his co-star Kate Winslet scored a Best Actress nom for her performance in ‘The Reader’.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button received 13 nominations in total including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Hugh Jackman will host the Academy Awards this year, with presenters being kept hush-hush until the day of the show, February 22 on ABC.
