The ABC network has denied that Diane Sawyer was drunk and demanded that Gawker.com immediately correct their website which reported the story.

ABC has stated that Diane Sawyer had been up since 3 A.M. on the day after the inauguration, and she worked straight through to the next day’s broadcast of Good Morning America.

Gawker has since been a clarification statement issued by the website stating, “Diane Sawyer did not attend a single ball! She was up all night reporting.”

Whether she was tired or intoxicated will remain a mystery, but Diane Sawyer is a true beauty and great asset to television.
