A representative for Marcia Cross says the husband of the “Desperate Housewives” star, stockbroker Tom Mahoney, has been diagnosed with cancer but Mahoney is responding well to treatment.

Actress Marcia Cross and Tom Mahoney were married in June 2006. The couple have 23-month-old twin girls named Eden and Savannah.

Cross, 46, plays “Bree” on Desperate Housewives on ABC.
