Actor Patrick Swayze, 56, believes he may only have two years to live due to his battle with pancreatic cancer. Read more on Patrick Swayze and watch his interview video with Barbara Walters below.

Patrick Swayze is trying to remain strong, and even with his cancer treatment, he has only missed one-and-a-half days of work out of five months.

“You can bet that I’m going through hell,” Swayze said. “And I’ve only seen the beginning of it.”

In Patrick Swayze’s interview, he admits he may not beat the disease.

“I’d say five years is pretty wishful thinking. Two years seems likely if you’re going to believe statistics.

“I want to last until they find a cure, which means I’d better get a fire under it,” he said.

Swayze has proceeded with filming for police drama The Beast, fitting chemotherapy sessions in at weekends.

Swayze even refused pain-killers during his 12-hour shoots so as not to dampen his performance, he explained: “I’ve never been one to run from a challenge.”

The actor was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in January 2008. Now the cancer has spread to his liver.

In Patrick Swayze: The Truth, he told Barbara Walters: “Yeah, I’m scared. Yeah, I’m angry. Yeah, I’m (asking), ‘Why me?’”

I wonder why Barbara Walters did not ask Patrick Swayze about CyberKnife. Here is a report from a source that certainly appears credible. From Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School…

“More than 50,000 people, including Actor Patrick Swayze, have turned to it to treat hard to reach cancers. Cyberknife RadioSurgery uses real-time, image-guided robotics to accurately target tumors and lesions that may otherwise be untreatable.

“‘This is a real breakthrough,’ says says Dr. Anand Mahadevan, of the Keith C. Field Cyberknife Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the first center in New England to offer Cyberknife therapy. ‘In the past, we’ve been limited to how much radiation we can give to treat cancers because it scatters around the tumor and causes collateral damage to nearby structures. This therapy pinpoints the exact location, sparing surrounding tissue.’”
