Mindy McCready Hospitalized After Suicide Attempt (Photos)

Country singer Mindy McCready has reportedly attempted suicide an has been put into the hospital. Read more on troubled Mindy McCready’s suicide attempt below.

According to the Nashville police report, Mindy McCready slashed her wrists and also took several pills at her home on Wednesday. McCready’s brother Timothy discovered her, and had told police that Minday had been very drunk the night before.

A hospital spokeswoman said that Mindy McCready, 33, is currently in stable condition. The Associated Press reported that McCready has attemped suicide in the past, and the troubled singer spent 30 days in jail in October after violating probation on a drug charge from back in 2004.

“We responded to a ‘10-63,’ that’s a suicidal person call. Mindy McCready was at the house,” Kris Mumford, a Nashville PD spokeswoman stated.

“Apparently she called the mother of her roommate and said some things that caused the mother concern. She called authorities. We responded with paramedics who took her to a local hospital.”
