Naomi Watts Has Second Baby Boy (Photos)

Naomi Wattts and Liev Schreiber’s baby boy was born in New York on Saturday, a. publicist for the 40-year-old actress confirmed. No details about his name or weight were released.

Watts and Schreiber, 41, fell in love on the Chinese set of their 2006 romantic drama, The Painted Veil, after Watts and former boyfriend, the late Heath Ledger had broken up.

Schreiber, who was last week in Los Angeles to promote his new World War II drama Defiance, said he was ready to jet back to New York for the birth. Liev said Watts had been trying to prepare Alexander, who the couple nicknamed Sasha, for his new baby brother.

“Naomi’s been teaching him ‘Kiss the Baby,’ which basically involves him going up to kiss the bump,” he told AccessHollywood.com.

“I don’t think he knows yet that there’s something lurking in there that’s about to seize the spotlight from him forever.”

Earlier this year, Watts, whose films include King Kong, 21 Grams and Eastern Promises, said of her older son: “He’s turning pages in the book. He’s crawling and standing up. He can wave. I read Goodnight Moon to him every night.”
