Armed robbers, some dressed in drag, made off with about $100 million in jewelry from the Harry Winston Store in central Paris. Read more on the Harry Winston robbery in Paris below.

Almost sounding like a big Hollywood jewelry heist movie, armed robbers dressed in drag hit the Harry Winston jewelry store in Paris, making out with jewelry worth about $100 million.

Police say the jewelry thieves grabbed rings, necklaces and luxury watches from display cases at the Harry Winston store near the Champs-Elysees.

Police said least two of the bandits were men dressed as women, at times spoke a foreign language and knew the Harry Winston employees’ names. Interesting…. The official was not authorized to be publicly named according to agency policy.

A spokeswoman for the U.S.-based chain of Harry Winston has not made a statement.

This jewelry robbery makes it the largest jewelry theft in Paris ever, reported police.
