Inject cooking oil in your face? Not a good idea! Just ask Hang Mioku! The once beautiful Hang decided to inject cooking oil into her face and became scarred and disfigured. Read more on the woman that injected cooking oil in her face below.

Hang Mioku decided to inject cooking oil in her face after she no longer received silicone injections. The cooking oil injections left Hang Mioku disfigured.

Hang Moiku had moved to Japan to have multiple surgeries, primarily to her face but when surgeons refused further surgeries and suggested Hang receive counseling. When Hang moved back home, her own family didn’t even recognize her.

Soon after her counseling, Hang Moiku found a doctor that was willing to perform silicone injections and even gave her a syringe and silicone so she could inject herself. Well, when she ran out of the silicone, she decided it’d be a great idea to inject cooking oil into her own face. WTF?

After being seen on television and telling her story, viewers organized donations to help her have corrective surgery to correct the self mutilation.

Doctors removed 20 grams of foreign substance from Hang Moiku’s face and 200 grams from her neck.

Although the surgery did improve her appearance, Hang Mioku remains disfigured.

  1. In my travels throughout Asia, I'm always impressed as to the extent more than a few women go through in order to enhance their appearances. It is not uncommon to find whitening creams in everything from bath soaps to lotions in Asia. The whiter your skin, the purer your health, is the basic belief all throughout Asia. We won't even mention the ingredients used to bleach the skin in these products. All of this may have something to do with the large ratio of women compared to men that are available to date, marry, etc. Who knows?

It is not uncommon to find darkening creams in everything from bath soaps to lotions in North America. The more orange your skin, the purer your health, is the basic belief all throughout North America. We won’t even mention the procedures used to tan the skin with heat lamps or under the sun. All of this may have something to do with the large ratio of women compared to men that are available to date, marry, etc. Who knows?
