Jimmy Connors Arrested (Photos)

Tennis great Jimmy Connors was arrested just outside the campus arena where UC Santa Barbara and top-ranked North Carolina were playing a basketball game. Connors refused to leave an area near the entrance of the Thunderdome, and was arrested. Read more below on Connors arrest.

Tennis star Jimmy Connors was arrested on Friday night after refusing to comply with an order to leave an area near the entrance of the Thunderdome following a confrontation, police Sgt. Dan Massey said in a statement.

A police dispatcher said Jimmy Connors was arrested at the beginning of the game.

Reported Jimmy Connors had not yet been booked as of early Saturday.

Connors lives in the Santa Barbara area and attends the Gauchos’ games each season.

Jimmy Connors was a huge tennis star back in the 1970’s and known for his bad temper.
