Obama’s Commerce Secretary will be Penny Pritzker, according to reports. Penny Pritzker is heiress to the Hyatt chain and was the national finance chair in Obama’s campaign. CNN has confirmed that Penny Pritzker was offer the position as Obama’s commerce secretary.

Penny Pritzker is an heiress to the Hyatt chain and helped raise around $640 million for Obama’s campaign.

CNN is also reporting that Obama will select Arizona Gov. Janet Napatalino to head the Department of Homeland Security.

Penny Pritzker donated $37,300 to different Obama fundraising accounts was named a member of his Transition Economic Advisory Board.

Penny’s brother, Jay Robert “JB” Pritzker, was a national finance chair for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

As Obama’s choice for commerce secretary, Penny Pritzker will probably be facing questions about her time as chairwoman of Chicago’s Superior Bank, which was under due on the type of subprime loans that Obama ragged on during his campaigning earlier this year.
