Spirit One Christian Center Obama Muslim Sign Controvery (VIDEO)

The Spirit One Christian center church is angering many people after putting up a controversial sign stating that Obama is a Muslim and that it’s a sin against the Lord. Read more on the Obama church sign and see video below.
The church sign in Wichita has led to a shouting match between the church members and Obama supporters.
The sign outside Spirit One Christian Center, 1515 E Harry St, reads “America We Have A Muslim President. This Is Sin Against The Lord.” The church stands by the sign even though Obama is a Christian.
There was a heated argument Sunday over the sign’s message.
Spirit One has been in trouble before when In 2007, the IRS threatened to revoke the church’s tax exempt status because of other messages on the marquee, e-mails and web postings about politicians and issues. Of course the church cited “free speech.”

Ahh…Kansas and Christians. An ignorant combo. Dangerous too! “What’s the Matter With Kansas?” should be required reading for all Americans. Now, I know not all Kansans are nuts, but this “Man” of God ain’t doing much to dispel that myth.

I live in Wichita and I am an Obama supporter. There have been many protests at this “church” in support of the President-elect. The sign before this on was even worse! I can’t even count the number of republican propaganda e-mails I received prior to the election stating that Barack Obama is a muslim…etc. It’s frustrating living in a city with so many uninformed religious fanatics. It’s a huge black eye on the city of Wichita.

I’m a christian from Sydney, Australia and have been in Wichita for 8 months. My girlfriend and I have been looking for a good church in town to attend, and found one that isn’t wacko and political as so many are around here. (Newspring church is great, non-judgmental, welcoming and always a fun place to be.)
There’s nothing worse than an ill-informed, opinionated christian who hangs off every word that comes from these pastors’ mouths. Do they not know that it is these idiots that give Christianity a bad name, and that it is ‘those that judge that will be Judged’?
