Posted on November 17, 2008
Actor Christopher Lloyd says he has a “different awareness” after returning to his burned-down Montecito home.
The actor well-known for his part as the professor in “Back to the Future” told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that he didn’t plan to rebuild his $11 million home in the celebrity enclave northwest of Los Angeles. Lloyd’s home was among around twelve homes that were lost in the wildfires.

“You watch TV, you see these kinds of incidents happening here and there, but you look with a kind of detachment because it’s happening … elsewhere,” he said, walking through the rubble. “But suddenly to be in the midst of it, it’s a very different awareness.”
Christopher Lloyd revealed he had procrastinated on organizing and storing memorabilia he kept at his home.
“Kind of don’t have to worry about that now,” he said.
