16 Year Old Female Baseball Player Eri Yoshida (Photos) Drafted By Men’s League

Yoshida, a 16-year-old Japanese student, has been drafted by Kobe 9 Cruise, an independent baseball league. Yoshida received attention after her future manager, Yoshiihiro Nakata saw her awesome knuckleball in action. Read more on Eri Yoshida below.

Cute little Eri Yoshida spoke with reporters today and had this to say:

“I never dreamed of getting drafted. I have only just been picked by the team and have not achieved anything,” she said. “I want to play as a pro eventually in a higher league.”

Tryouts were held earlier this month, where right-handed pitcher, Yoshida had all the guys without a hit during her tryout for the team.

Yoshida will become the first Japanese woman ever picked to play in a men’s professional baseball team.

Eri Yoshida is 16 years-old and is very petite standing 5 feet tall and weighing 114 lbs.
