President elect Barack Obama is said to be in serious discussion with Hillary Clinton regarding joining his cabinet as secretary of state. Read more on Hillary Clinton below.
On Thursday, Barack Obama had a serious discussion with Hillary Clinton to see if she would be interested in being secretary of state.
Reputable news sources such as CNN report that Hillary Clinton left the meeting thinking the job is hers if she is interested. Thus far Clinton has not given her answer.

A close source to Obama’s team stated that a president-elect would not be meeting with a cabinet secretary prospect unless they intend to make the offer.
