8 Year Old Arizona Boy Murders Father & Another Man (VIDEO)

An 8 year-old boy shot and killed his father and his co-worker, that rented a room in their home. Watch video below on the 8 year-old boy that murdered his father and another man below.
The 8 year-old boy did well in school, and was set to mark his First Communion this year at St. Johns Catholic Church.
Neighbors of the 8 year-old boy are at a loss to explain why he would have used a .22-caliber rifle to kill his father and another man at their home.
“That child, I don’t think he knows what he did, and it was brutal,” said the family priest, the Very Reverend John Paul Sauter.
Police said the little boy killed his father, Vincent Romero, 29, and another man, Timothy Romans, 39, on Wednesday. The two men worked together, and Romans had been renting a room at the home.
The boy faces two counts of premeditated murder and police are looking into whether he might have been abused.
“I’m not accusing anybody of anything at this point,” he said Saturday. “But we’re certainly going to look at the abuse part of this. He’s 8 years old. He just doesn’t decide one day that he’s going to shoot his father and shoot his father’s friend for no reason. Something led up to this.”
The boy’s father and stepmother had just married in September, and his mother had just come for a visit the weekend before the killings, officials said.
On Friday, a judge ordered a psychological evaluation of the boy. Under Arizona law, charges can be filed against anyone 8 or older.
The boy had no record of complaints with Arizona Child Protective Services, said Apache County Attorney Brad Carlyon.
“He had no record of any kind, not even a disciplinary record at school,” he said. “He has never been in trouble before.”
Romero was from a family of avid hunters and wanted to make sure the boy wasn’t afraid of guns and knew how to handle them, Sauter said. The boy’s stepmother had suggested he have a BB gun, the priest said.
Police are pushing to have the boy tried as an adult even as they investigate possible abuse, Melnick said. If convicted as a minor, the boy could be sent to juvenile detention until he turns 18.
The boy’s lawyer, Benjamin Brewer, said his client is in good spirits in general. “He’s scared,” he said. “He’s trying to be tough, but he’s scared.”
Romero had full custody of the child. The boy’s mother had visited St. Johns from Mississippi last weekend and returned to Arizona after the shootings, Carlyon said.
Officers called to the home in St. Johns, a town of 4,000 found one victim just outside the front door and the other dead in an upstairs room, Melnick said.
The boy had gone to a neighbor’s house and said he thought his father was dead, Carlyon said.
The police cordoned off the street around the Romero home the night of the shootings as they interviewed neighbors, who expressed shock and disbelief that anyone had been killed in the community.
Marybeth Ellsworth, 53, who played the piano at the wedding of the boy’s father and stepmother in September, said residents have rallied around the Romeros, a well-known family in St. Johns.
“We take things for granted sometimes in a small town,” she said Saturday. “We just think nothing can ever happen to us.”
The boy had no disciplinary record in school, and no complaints were filed with Arizona Child Protective Services, prosecutors said.
Sauter, the priest, also said the boy did not cause problems in his classes at the church. The third-grader was to make his First Communion this year.
“They were just really nice people, and that’s why it’s such a sad thing,” Sauter said. “Of course you can’t do anything about Vinnie, but there’s gotta be something they can do for him. At that age, he’s just a baby,” he said, referring to the boy.

No 8 year old kills for no reason. He was abused. Duh! I hope this town gets off its cover-up and lets the authorities get to the bottom of this sordid case.

It’s pretty clear that without guns we wouldn’t be having these USA specific, random shootings that we do – not by criminals – but by ordinary folk that go “postal” and of course most recently, by an eight-year old school kid that decided to pick up a gun and shoot his dad. Someone please tell me how it is that an eight year old can kill to grown men in one shooting I am not understanding this. I think that someone else came in and killed these two men if I am correct his father has full custody. Of the little boy and his mother gets visition rights why isn’t anyone looking at her maybe she wanted to have full custody of their son. Then decided to have his father killed, this case in my opinon is corrupt I do not think that any jury would find this child guilty. These police officers are lazy and just want to put this child in prison because they do not want to do there jobs.

I think it’s terrible the way there treating this 8 year old little boy, saying he murdered his dad and co worker they know nothing yet, and no 8 year old just murders 2 people, something is very wrong and I feel sick inside for this little boy and the way he is being treated. Is his Mother or Step Mother, Aunt someone with him helping him. This is wrong how they state he murdered them they don’t know anything yet, maybe someone else did this, maybe he was abused but the way this little boy is being treated is terrible. His dad should of never had loaded guns in the home or been teaching him how to shoot that is against the law and that alone is abuse he was only 8 years old. I hope his mother steps up to the plate and stands up for this child or the step mother. Domeone else did this or the child had been abused. Maybe the Step Mother did it was there Insurance involved, and she set up the boy who knows but they better do there job investigating because no little boy picks up a gun and shoots for no reason.

i hope that the defense comes strong because they questioned him without a lawyer or his parents present, anybody who know the law knows that the cofession the young boy gave they cant use in court and if they do MISTRIAL..

Violence begets violence. this boy had a history of being abused by his father and step-mother. As a therapist one never sees parental abuse without seeing horrible child abuse first. Had this been a women who was being abused by her husband she would not be going to jail. It would be called self- defense. No human being has a right to strike another human being and children are human beings also. We have 23 countries where parents can’t hit their children. It’s about time the USA gets the message! this boy had no mother who had custody of him and kept a diary of his beatings by his father and step mother, and vowed to do something after 1,000 beatings. How much more was he to endure. Spanking children doesn’t work .the proof here is in the pudding. Viviane
