“Saturday Night Live’s” Amy Poehler gave birth to a baby boy she named Archie Arnett on Saturday. Little Archie weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., their rep Lewis Kay said in a statement.
“Amy, Will and Archie are all healthy and resting comfortably,” Kay said.
During the “Weekend Update” segment of Saturday Night Live, Poehler’s co-anchor Seth Meyers announced to a cheering crowd: “Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby.”
“I’ve been very lucky,” Poehler told People in July. “I’m feeling good, and I’m just overwhelmed with blessings.”
Seth Myers told of his joy for Amy Poehler, “We’re all excited for her,” said Myers. “I think she’s going to be a great mom.”
The funny couple have other projects other than baby Archie Arnett. Will Arnett will star in the comedy movie, “When in Rome”. And wife Amy Poehler will be leaving SNL, but return to ABC in a new comedy show.
Congrats to Amy Poehler and Will Arnett!
