Mackenzie Phillips Pleads Guilty To Felony Drug Charge (Photos)

The “One Day at a Time” star, Mackenzie Phillips, has pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine and will be going into a drug treatment center. Read more about Mackenzie Phillips below.

Mackenzie Phillips entered into a guilty plea Friday in a Los Angeles court. The district attorney’s office says two counts of possessing heroin and a needle were dismissed, and Mackenzie was ordered to complete an 18-month program.

Mackenzie Phillips, 48, was arrested Aug. 27 at Los Angeles International Airport after airport police discovered narcotics during a security screening.

Mackenzie Phillips is the daughter of John Phillips, from the group the Mamas and the Papas. Mackenzie Phillips has had a long history of abusing drugs, which caused her being let go from the television show “One Day at a Time” in 1982.
