Tracy Morgan Credits Alec Baldwin For Helping Kick His Alcohol Problem (Pics)

Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan says that Alec Baldwin helped him kick his alcohol problem, and to change his life. Read more on Tracy Morgan below.

Tracy Morgan had violated his probation from his DUI charge when he was accused of groping a female DJ while he was drunk. For his crime, he was required to wear and alcohol-monitoring ankle cuff.

Tracy Morgan says he considered himself a “functioning alcoholic” but credits Alec Baldwin for playing a huge part in his rehabilitation.

He says, “Alec was the main one counseling me. He’s a passionate dude. I don’t give a f— what nobody say about him, dude been there. ‘You got an opportunity on 30 Rock,’ he told me. I felt the love when he do that.”

Tracy Morgan says he gets angry when people think he is similar to his character on 30 Rock He states you have to be intelligent to play someone that stupid.

He says, “He’s my alter ego, he’s not me. Some people believe everything they see on TV. People, it’s called tel-lee-vision. You have to be highly intelligent to get away with a dumb joke. That takes a pretty smart fella.”
