Rudy Ray Moore’s was first reported by EURweb and the website claims to have been informed of the news by comedienne Luenell, a friend Rudy Ray Moore’s family.
Moore, whose actual name was Rudolph Frank Moore, is best known as “Dolemite,” the awesome pimp from the 1975 film Dolemite, and Dolemite’s sequel, “The Human Tornado.”
Rudy Ray Moore was also called the “king of the party records” and had several comedy albums during the 1960s and 1970s. Believe it or not, Rudy Ray Moore’s comic style was even more rude and explicit than other comedians such as Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor.
In 2008 Rudy Ray Moore did the character Petey Wheatstraw for the song “I live for the Funk” which featured Blowfly and Daniel Jordan.
Condolences to Rudy Ray Moore’s family and friends.
