Hugh Hefner is speaking out about the breakup with Holly Madison, Hef’s number one girlfriend. Hugh Hefner says he is “down in the dumps” about the split. But don’t worry about Hefner. He has already moved in 19 year-old twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon into the Playboy Mansion, but they aren’t his girlfriends… yet! Hefner’s number one girlfriend, Holly Madison, 28, stars in the “Girls Next Door” reality show along with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt as one of Hugh Hefner’s, 82, girlfriends in the Playboy Mansion.
“If Holly says it’s over, I guess it’s over,” Hefner said in a telephone interview Wednesday. “She’s still here in the house. Until a few days ago, we were still sharing the same bed.”
Hugh Hefner was surprised to hear Holly Madison had discussed their breakup, but said he knew they would split after he told Holly that they would never marry or have children.
In a the video posted on TMZ.com Tuesday, Holly Madison said she’s no longer with Hefner. She also said she is “still filming stuff together” with Wilkinson and Marquardt.
Hefner said Holly knew about six months ago that they wouldn’t marry or have children. Hefner said, “The fact that she was depressed after that, I didn’t know at all. That was a revelation in the last days and weeks. Quite frankly, we thought when the time came, we would make a combined statement and we expected that combined statement would be somewhere in the weeks and months ahead.”
“The Girls Next Door” premiered on E! in 2001 and is in its fifth season. Hefner said he and the three women have already committed to the 6th season, but Hefner will find himself new girlfriends. Hefner said 19-year-old Playmate twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon have moved into the Playboy mansion, but they’re aren’t his girlfriends — yet.
“It’s now apparent there will be some new faces in my personal life and on the show,” he said. “There’s been moments that I’ve been down in the dumps about all this, and (personal assistant) Mary (O’Connor) told me to cheer up and pointed out that there are girls lined up outside the front gate. At my age, that’s hard to believe, but it seems to be true.”
Hefner’s relationship with his remaining two girlfriends — Marquardt, 35, and Wilkinson, 23 — may also be in flux. Hefner said Marquardt is in Europe filming the new Travel Channel series “Bridget’s Beaches,” and Wilkinson may soon move out of the mansion and get her own apartment. Kendra Wilkinson is also said to be engaged. Hefner said E! is interested in spin-offs with all three women.
Hugh Hefner said he may look for six or seven girlfriends, so don’t feel too sorry for the old guy.
“It’s a big house,” he said. “And I’m not going to live alone. I’m definitely not going to live alone.”

Holly Madison knew that her and Hefner weren’t going too get married or have kids.Hefner is in his eighty’s.Holly just wanted Hefner all to her self and get his fortune when he pass on too a better life.Kendra is the youngest out of all of them and she has sense too move on before she get out of her thirty’s.And Bridget was just having fun and making money.Bridget being thirty five should had been move on from there.Now Holly going too have regret staying with Hefner for all this time.When a man say no too marriage and kids he mean business.If Hefner sleeping with three women at the same time and one or two of them cheat and catch HIV or Aids then all four of them going too get it.I just think its nasty all of the way.

I don’t see why everyone is fascinated with Hugh Hefner, including guys. Yeah – he started Playboy. If you are impressed at his ability to exploit and make money, fair enough. What I can’t understand is why people think he is so impressive bedding all these girls, if he even really beds them. The truth is that Hugh Hefner is an eighty-some man who is likely quite lonely despite never being alone. It has got to cross his mind that these women wouldn’t be with him if it weren’t for the money and admiration. What turns me on is when your average guy does something heroic and compassionate – now that is hot. I am far from a prude, believe me, and it isn’t the nudity that offends me – I am not offended by porn. It is his image, and why people find him so wonderful. I just get the impression that Mr. H is fooling himself. His age is not the big turn off – it is everything else. Nothing cooler than a man who is comfortable in his own skin – at any age.
