Nick Nolte’s Malibu House Fire: Actor Nick Nolte Injured

Actor Nick Nolte suffered a cut to his hand when he broke a window to escape a fire that destroyed his Malibu home Tuesday. Apparently Nolte was trying to put the fire out himself, and was said to also suffer smoke inhalation. Read more about Nick Nolte’s house fire below.

The Los Angeles County fire department was called at around 11:30 am on Tuesday. When firefighters arrived to Nolte’s home, Nick Nolte was attempting to put the blaze out himself.

Authorities said the blaze broke out at about 11:30 a.m. and caused about $1.5 million in damage. Nolte was forced to break through a window to escape the flames, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.

When authorities arrived, the home was fully engulfed by flames. They believe an electrical malfunction sparked the fire in the living room of the home on the 6100 block of Bonsall Drive in Malibu.

Damage was estimated at $3.5 million, and the fire was sparked by an apparent electrical malfunction.

The actor’s publicist, Arnold Robinson, said there was no structural damage to the house.

“Mr. Nolte is grateful to the Malibu fire department and sheriff’s department for their quick response and assistance,” he said.

Glad to hear Nick Nolte made it out of the burning home, and that he didn’t suffer serious injury.
