Leona Lewis discusses reality shows and how it helped her career. Including a comment about Simon Cowell trying to “come onto ” her.

“People slate shows like The X Factor, but I could never have got a chance without it. That’s all down to Simon. He saw something in me and he made me believe it could happen, and then it did happen. Even now I feel I owe it to everyone out there who voted for me to do this right and do this well.”

There were rumors going around that Simon Cowell had given Leona a huge mansion in Los Angeles, and that Leona also had a crush on him.

“I do love Simon, but he hasn’t bought me a mansion. Though he did buy me a beautiful charm bracelet for my birthday with four-leaf clovers and a horse.”

Leona Lewis’ true love is an electrician, Lou Al-Chamaa, who is a childhood friend since the age of nine, and the couple began dating at age 17.

“Why does everyone seem surprised we’re still together?” she asks.

“Why would I dump someone because of this? He’s my best friend and we make sure we get to spend time together when we can.”

That’s so cool eh? Sweet that Leona and Lou were childhood friends and now are together. Will there be a wedding for Leona Lewis and Lou in the future? Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
