Anne Hathaway’s “Awkward” Interview On David Letterman (Pictures)

Anne Hathaway was on the “David Letterman Show” to promote her movie “Rachel’s Getting Married”, and her interview seemed very uncomfortable. David Letterman had to “go there” about Raffaello Follieri, Anne’s ex who is in jail for money-laundering. See the Anne Hathaway David Letterman interview video below.

Anne Hathaway appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman looking to promote new film “Rachel Getting Married”, and man did she get grilled by David Letterman about her recent split with accused money launderer Raffaello Follieri. You could cut the tension with a knife. But Anne handled herself very well!

Letterman asked if Hathaway had hints about Follieri’s criminal behavior, to which the actress responded: “I don’t want to go into the specifics but I will say that you do have to give me credit because as far as relationships crashing and burning goes, c’mon, I did pretty great. I mean, scorched that earth.”

The interview continued feeling tense and awkward as Letterman stated that the situation was “pretty unusual.”

“That’s definitely one of the words that, yeah,” Hathaway responded, adding, “Do you want to know his shoe size too?”

Letterman then asks Anne if Follieri will be in jail for quite a while.

“You know, I really don’t know the specifics about that,” Hathaway replied. “I’m just kind of promoting my movie, living my life. I got to keep my dog! That’s the most important thing. That’s the thing that I focused on.”

Not seeming to mind the awkward conversation, Letterman ended things off by asking: “Was the relationship finished before there was trouble?”

“Yeah,” Hathaway said. “We were over for a bit. There were conversations afterwards but the relationship was over. I was on a flight from Australia coming back so that was a fun call to get on landing.”

Don’t you bet Anne was glad David Letterman didn’t bring up the Esquire interview where she says she likes anal? Now that would be awkward!
