Singer Janet Jackson was rushed to the hospital, when she began feeling very sick during her sound check before her show.
The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and was rushed to the hospital, according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations.
Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital, and hopes to reschedule the show.
Reached this morning, a representative from W&W said Jackson was doing “OK,” but could not update her condition or whether or not she was still being treated.
It remains to be determined whether Jackson’s “Rock Witchu” tour will continue to the Garden or if the singer needs more recovery time. Today is a scheduled off day.
“We don’t have an update on whether the (Boston) show will go on tomorrow,” the rep said.
An decision is expected later this afternoon.
Jackson is on tour for the first time in seven years, and her tour kicked off Sept. 7 in Vancouver. On Friday, Jackson canceled her Detroit concert due to “production constraints,” according to TMZ.com.
