Jenna Fischer, “Pam” from The Office is currently dating Dallas writer, Lee Kirk. The new couple stepped out to the Creative Arts Emmy’s on Sept. 13th, and the Primetime Emmys. Read more after the bump.

Actress Jenna Fischer is dating writer Lee Kirk. “The Office is like a second family, so it is an important introduction to me, particularly Angela [Kinsey],” Fischer said at the Entertainment Tonight Emmy party sponsored by People. “[Kirk] is a writer and he is originally from Dallas, so Angela immediately liked that I was dating a fellow Texan.”

He’s writer Lee Kirk – or, as Fischer playfully told PEOPLE, “my super cute boyfriend.”

The actress and animal-rescue advocate has been dating Kirk since January (she and screenwriter/director James Gunn announced their split last September).

“We met through mutual friends,” Fischer, 34, tells PEOPLE of Kirk. “We’ve actually known each other for a long time. He went to college with an old friend of mine.”

Jenna Fischer returns as receptionist Pam Beesley when the new season of The Office debuts on Sept. 25 on NBC.
