Some people are accusing magician, David Blaine, of cheating in his latest stunt, the “Dive of Death”. Blaine is hanging upside down for 60 hours. But Blaine has reportedly been taking breaks every hour. Read more after the bump.

So is David Blaine cheating on his latest stunt? An eyewitness photographed Blaine standing upright on September 23rd. Others report that David Blaine was taking breaks from being upside down, by standing upright around three times every hour.

These witness statements have taken some of the drama out of David Blaine’s latest stunt, but Blaine’s rep said he never intended to stay upside down for 60 consecutive hours.

“About once an hour he has to come down for a medical check, to stretch, and to relieve himself, because even David Blaine can’t do that upside down,” Fox News quoted Patrick Smith, an executive vice president at Rubenstein Associates, as saying.

Supposdly Blaine has said that he would have to get his head above his heart, due to doctors orders. “The doctors told him if he doesn”t do that, he will die,” the rep added.

Blaine said on September 22 that he was “doin’ all right” after being hung upside down above Central Park’s Wollman ice skating rink in New York City earlier that day.

David Blaine’s stunt will end in a television special on September 24 night, when Blaine takes a “Dive of Death” and falls 44 feet to the ground.
