Dancing with the Stars eliminated their first contestant on Tuesday night when comedian Jeffrey Ross was eliminated from the hit ABC show.

Ross, the comedian, had his left eye injured during rehearsal before the premiere dance Monday night. Jeffrey did his best cha cha cha routine with partner Edyta Sliwinska, but earned a low score of 12, which sent him packing.

Jeffrey’s eye injury was his main concern though. “It hurts. I’m not going to lie,” Jeffrey told OK! while wearing his black rhinestone eye patch backstage after Tuesday’s show. “It woke me up this morning and I literally whispered to my girlfriend, Meaghan, ‘This is the worst day of my life.’ My eye was stuck shut. I went to the doctor this morning. They put on all kinds of ointments and a little implant so that it would open up. But freak accidents happen. I still learned to dance, that’s the main thing. I made some awesome friends.”

Jeffrey won’t go home bored though, as he is promoting his comedy special which comes out October 14. “When you’re in comedy, you’re used to going gig to gig. I don’t have a lot of time to mourn my loss on Dancing with the Stars. I have fond memories of it and I’ll move on. I’m glad I did it and no regrets.”

Jeffrey Ross said he loved hanging out with 82-year-old competitor Cloris Leachman. “I feel I still have a lot to learn from her,” he said. “She is a wildcat.”

Edyta Sliwinska will now be rooting for dancer husband Alec Mazo , who is competing on DWTS with singer, Toni Braxton. “I’m really rooting for them. He was kicked off first a couple of seasons ago. They have a great chance to win.”

Cloris received the lowest score of 16 on Tuesday night after her mambo with pro Corky Ballas . “I’m going to bring five old people the next time there’s judging, just to have them stand there with me just for the pity element,” Cloris told OK! backstage. The veteran star took off her dance shoes and walked the press interview line in her slippers. “Two of my toes are asleep,” she explained. “I don’t like high heels at all.”

Brooke Burke and Derek Hough hold the lead in DWTS, with a score of 26 on their second night dance, the quickstep. Brooke was shown dancing with her six-month-old son Shaya between her and Derek, which helped her shoulder frame. She told OK! after the show, “Shaya loved it. He had a whole bonding experience. He’d come to rehearsal every day if we’d let him.”
