Ex’s Shanna Moakler & Nicole Richie Devastated About DJ AM & Travis Barker’s Plane Crash (Pics)

Shanna Moakler, ex-wife of Travis Barker, and Nicole Richie, ex of DJ AM “Adam Goldstein”, are said to be upset and devastated upon learning of the plane crash that left Travis Barker and DJ AM seriously burned and in critical but “stable” condition. Read more after the bump.

DJ Am’s ex, Nicole Richie, “is in shock” after her ex fiance Adam Goldstein and friend Travis Barker, were critically injured in a jet crash Friday after midnight. Of the six people on board the small plane, four were killed.

“She wishes only the best for Adam and hopes he recovers from this,” a friend of Nicole Richie’s said.” And added, “She’s horribly upset about the people who died.”

Nicole Richie’s current boyfriend, Joel Madden “knows Travis and also feels terrible and hopes they recover. This is terrible news for both of them.”

Shanna Moakler, Travis Barker’s ex and father to two of her children: 4-year-old son, Landon, and 2-year-old daughter, Alabama, “is devastated and in total shock. It just hit her,” reported Us Magazine.

Shanna Moakler is hopping on a plane to be by Travis’ side as he recovers. Travis Barker was said to have severe burns from the waist down. DJ AM is said to be burned on his face area, and was in surgery.

Says the source: “Shanna is freaking and in panic mode right now.”

Gail Moakler, who spoke to People.com Saturday afternoon,said Shanna Moakler is “totally crushed,” adding that, “Our heart pours out. We’re hoping he recovers. The family is rallying around him and saying our prayers.”

Barker’s children are not aware their father has been injured, and Gail Moakler claims Barker and Moakler are still very close. “There’s still love between them,” she said. “She spends a lot of time with him. Their priorities are their kids. We’re waiting a bit to see what God brings. Shanna spoke to Travis last night. He was defiant after the accident and didn’t want to be lifted in a helicopter, but rather an ambulance, so they had to knock him out.”

Long said AM’s family is thankful the DJ was able to escape the plane with Barker. The two exited the plane, and according to one eyewitness, ran from the crash site and patted each other down to extinguish the flames.

“The whole thing is crazy,” Long said. “We feel horrible about those who didn’t [survive]. It’s just awful.”

DJ AM’s sister, Lara, and her husband, Benjamin Long, are also on their way to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, after learning of the crash from Adam Goldstein’s mother.

“We’re in shock,” Benjamin Long told the site. “Nobody expects something like this. We’re waiting to hear more.”

DJ Am “was completely terrified and traumatized” after the terrible plane crash, but he was conscious long enough to phone his mother while in the ambulance.

DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, told his mother he was injured and on the way to the hospital.

DJ AM is said to be currently in a medically-induced coma, undergoing skin grafts to repair the extensive burns he sustained in the plane crash.

Travis Barker was said to be burned from the waist down. Both men are said to be in critical but stable condition at the burn center in Georgia.

Lexington County Deputy Coroner Brian Setree confirmed for MTV News on Saturday morning that three men and a woman were killed in the crash: the plane’s pilot, Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim, California; co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, California; Barker’s assistant, Chris “Little Chris” Baker, 29, of Studio City, California; and Barker’s security guard, Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles.
