Michael Douglas will act as Liberace in his biopic.

Michael Douglas has been signed on to play Liberace in a no holds barred biopic. Liberace was actually Wladziu Valentino and became a famous celebrity in 1970s – 1980s.

Liberace died of complications from AIDS in 1987, at the age of 67.

Liberace had a flamboyant fashion style. He dressed up in a big showy way and sparked off rumors that he was gay. He denied the rumors.

In 1982, Scott Thorson sued Liberace for palimony for $120 million. Thorson claimed he had been Liberace’s partner for 5 years before they broke up. Thorson’s role may be taken up by Matt Damon, pending negotiations.
