Jennifer Hudson is engaged to David Otunga “Punk”! Jennifer Hudson of “Dreamgirls” is engaged to marry David Otunga “Punk” of VH1’s I Love New York II, who popped the question on Friday night, September 8, 2008 on Jennifer’s birthday. Congrats to David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson on their engagement!

David Otunga asked Jennifer Hudson to marry him, presenting her with a Neil Lane-designed diamond ring on Oscar winner Hudson’s 27th birthday.
Jennifer Hudson is a former American Idol contestant singer, as well as an actress. David Otunga is most known as “Punk” from the VH1 reality show called “I Love New York 2″.
Otunga and Hudson have dated for a little less than a year, and both hail from the Chicago area.
Hudson’s representative says, “I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in Los Angeles.”
