Tommy Lee Jones sues studio for money.
Posted on September 11, 2008Tommy Lee Jones has started a lawsuit against the studio which made No Country For Old Men. He claimed he was owed $10 million in unpaid wages. Jones said the studio failed to pay him for bonuses and his initial acting fee.
“No Country For Old Men” made $160 million at the box office and won 4 Oscars. Paramount Pictures studio told Jones that his contract contained two mistakes. Jones claimed that he was cheated by Paramount, who was aware of the mistakes when he was offered the contract to sign.
Jones agreed to act in the movie and he also helped promote it. In return, he was supposed to receive box office bonuses and backend compensation.
