Comedian Ron White, known for chain-smoking and drinking scotch on stage, White’s comedy routine includes stories of being arrested for public intoxication, and how he was booked in Texas with the alias “Tater Salad”.
Well, guess Ron White will have a new story to tell on his “Blue Collar Comedy Tour”.
Ron White was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Supposedly an anonymous person tipped off the Vero Beach Police detectives, saying an airplane would be landing at 5 p.m. at the city’s airport with a passenger carrying illegal drugs, said Officer John Morrison, spokesman for the Vero Beach Police Department.
There were only two people on the small plane, Ron White and the pilot. White, the 51-year-old comedian was said to cooperate with detectives, who found less than 3 grams of marijuana and a pipe to smoke the weed, reports state.
White was booked in the Indian River Jail at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday evening, and posted $1,000 bond, and ws released around 8 p.m.
Ron White was on Treasure Coast to perform at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce. White began his performance at the Sunrise Theatre more than an hour late Wednesday and is scheduled to do a second show on Thursday.
Ron White is probably most well known for his days with the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” with other “redneck type” funny-guys such as Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy.
