Kt Tunstall,33, a Scottish singer tied the knot with her drummer in a ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the Isle of Skye.

“They wanted to keep it as a private event for family and friends,” says a friend of the singer. “It was just as they wanted it.”

Tunstall reportedly wore a fitted silk strapless gown covered in crystals for the wedding ceremony, attended by about 150 guests.

Their families wore traditional wedding attire but younger guests wore bowler hats, retro suits, and sneakers.

The couple and their guests all enjoyed a traditional “wedding breakfast” of local beef and seafood before the couple was toasted with vintage champagne.

After the ceremony, the guests danced to live music featuring 1980’s hits, mixed with traditional Scottish music.

Two luxury hotels were booked for their guests for five days of celebrations.

Tunstall, the singer-songwriter, chose the Isle of Skye after vacationing there and admiring it’s natural scenery. The Mail on Sunday adds that the couple will honeymoon on a backpacking trek they will take in South America, India and New Zealand.

Tunstall’s drummer, Luke Bullen proposed to KT Tunstall in 2007 on a surprise visit to her family home on Christmas Day.
