Rosemary Jacobs, 66, was born in Brooklyn, and has suffered with the after effects of taking colloidal silver most of her life. Jacobs began using nose drops at the age of 11, that contained the colloidal silver.

Within just a couple years, Rosemary’s skin was blue/gray. The silver had gone into her body and it didn’t go away.

It was said to happen gradually over time. No one noticed at first, until she worked as a “candystriper” in a hospital and was asked, “Why are you that color?” Jacobs soon learned she had argyria, a permanent and irreversible condition that cannot be hidden.

After several years of using colloidal silver-laced nose drops, a skin biopsy revealed silver particles had embedded deep beneath Jacobs’ skin. Jacobs said, “They told me my color was permanent,” Jacobs told the Telegraph. “It was devastating.”

Jacob’s condition was known as argyria, which you get after having long-term contact with or ingest silver salts.

The condition is characterized by a silverish or blue/gray or gray-black staining of the skin and mucous membranes produced by the depositing of silver particles under the skin.

Rosemary Jacobs has undergone many dermatological procedures to remove the silver from her skin. But even with the treatment, her skin remains a blue gray color.

Rosemary, 53, is a retired teacher, and has been very hurt by the cruelty and taunts all her life. She felt like a freak her entire life.

Unfortunately Rosemary Jacobs isn’t the only one affected. Paul Karason also has argyria. Here is Paul Karason’s photo below:
