Oprah Winfrey had no problem introducing Democrat Barack Obama to America, but Oprah isn’t so fond of the idea of having the Republican vice-presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, on her show.

Sources say that Oprah’s show’s staff is completely divided and at odds on the idea of booking Sarah Palin on the show.

“Half of her staff really want Sarah Palin her on, Oprah’s website is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama,” a source explains.

An executive warns Oprah Winfrey that banning Palin from her show, could cause a nasty backlash.

In the past, Oprah has refused to have other high-profile Republicans on her top-rated show. Last year, Winfrey blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.

Oprah and executive producer Shari Salata, who has contributed thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaign, refused requests for comment.

What is Oprah so afraid of? That the endearing Sarah Palin will look too good to America and cause voters to cast their vote for McCain? Or does she feel it is not appropriate because of her tremendous support of Obama?

Oprah Winfrey made a statement saying:

“At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates,” Winfrey, who was an early backer of Barack Obama, says in a statement to TMZ.

“I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over,” she adds. “There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show.”

If I was Palin. I would be too busy after I won the V.P. spot to even bother with Oprah. It would just prove Oprah is using Palin to get better ratings after the election if she has her on after she wins.

What a hipocrit. Oprah I stop watching your show along with the thousands of other christian women…. After you found your other Jesus.

IT’S TIME FOR AMERICA TO DENY OPRAH ACCESS TO OUR TELEVISION SETS.
Oprah gives advice on relationships, but has a boy friend who is a

I agree. I think Palin should be too busy to come on to the show. Besides, Oprah will be in a diabetic comma if McCain/Palin wins so there will be no show for awhile. Therefore, it is a moot point.
I for one, am tired of her obvious bias, selfishness and narcissim.
Oprah, put your clothes back on. You are transparent and we can see through you.

The Oprah thing is an entirely moot point, though I’m sure that conservative pundits are going to try to use this to their advantage.

You see, the real story here is that the McCain campaign isn’t going to let Palin do any more one-on-one interviews between now and election day. Scripted speeches, choreographed campaign rallies, and advertisements — that’s IT. The closest thing to spontaneity we’re going to get is the veep debate with Biden, but they’ll get the questions in advance.

McCain assured everyone we’d like her once we got to know her. But his campaign isn’t about to let us get to know Sarah Palin. And the reason is obvious.

Please Matt.. what’s the reason? I think Oprah drank the Obama kool-aid and wouldn’t be caught dead giving equal time to a nasty nasty republican! This is just shameful. The media is trying to tell people what to believe by shielding them from any view that is not their own.

I think she made a good choice not to have her until after the election. The last time Obama was on the show was in 2006 not 2007/2008 so whats the big deal. Besides all we would here is thanks but no thanks to that bridge to no where!!! I sold the plain on E-Bay, I work with my hands i go hunting. I serve Mac and Cheese to my family bla bla bla. I can see Russia from my house!!
