Keira Knightley encountered a stranger’s verbal assault.

Keira Knightley hired a body guard when she went out for her after party celebration after the premiere of The Duchess. Knightley had her security close at hand and she retreated into a private room at the club.

Knightley excused herself by saying that she was jumpy after a stranger attacked her on the street. One day, when she was walking alone, she was engrossed in her thoughts on a book she was reading when suddenly, someone jumped her. She was too surprised to react to the stranger’s greeting and he immediately accused her of being too proud. The man heaped verbal abuse at her.

Knightley said that she felt vulnerable and hired a body guard to prevent a repeat of the nasty incident.
