Dr. Mark Greene is coming back to “ER,” but of course can’t rise from the dead.
Anthony Edwards will come back to ER as Dr. Greene, who died of a brain tumor at the end of the 2002 season, but in flashback scenes in the Nov. 13 episode, NBC announced Thursday.
Dr. Greene will be shown with other “ER” actors from the past, as well as others new to the show such as Dr. Cate Banfield. Other past “ER” actors have yet to be announced.
Anthony Edwards will make his appearance in the final 15th season of “ER”, which began in 1994 and helped launch careers for Juliana Margolis, George Clooney, and many others.
You can catch the new and final season of “ER” on September 25, 2008.

ER should go out with a bang. When the final closure calls I think that all beloved and hated characters should have a final game of basket ball.

Correction to previous post I think that all deceased hated and beloved ER characters should be shown having a one on one basket ball game as the final season fades out
