sarah palin thumb Palin Affair?: Todd Palins Former Business Partner Is Brad Hanson

The National Enquirer has reported about a Palin Affair, saying that Sarah Palin had an affair with her husband’s business partner. The McCain camp is threatening legal action, fed up with all the negative press the Palin family has had to endure recently. The business partner has been named as Brad Hanson.

John McCain’s camp is very angry over the National Enquirer’s story alleging that Sarah Palin had an affair with her husband’s business partner.

Normally the tabloid, National Enquirer, would just be ignored but after exposing the John Edward’s affair, it has built up some credibility.

Palin became mayor of Wasilla in the mid-1990s. Palin’s husband Todd owned a snowmobile dealership with his business partner Brad Hanson. Apparently Hanson, who was also married, and Sarah got on famously; Alaskan Abroad’s sources say the two were “flirtatious but never consummated the relationship”.

“When Todd found out, he reportedly dissolved the partnership and sold the dealership. Hanson is now a member of the Palmer City Council.”

The Enquirer’s own anonymous source claims there was an affair. The paper reports: “Todd discovered the affair and quickly dissolved his friendship and business associations with the guy. Many people in Alaska are talking about the rumor and say Todd swept it under the rug.”

The National Enquirer made this statement saying:

“The National Enquirer’s coverage of a vicious war within Sarah Palin’s extended family includes several newsworthy revelations, including the resulting incredible charge of an affair plus details of family strife when the Governor’s daughter revealed her pregnancy. Following our John Edwards’ exclusives, our political reporting has obviously proven to be more detail-oriented than the McCain campaign’s vetting process. Despite the McCain camp’s attempts to control press coverage they find unfavorable, The Enquirer will continue to pursue news on both sides of the political spectrum.”

The poor Palin family has been surrounded by rumors and negative media with suggestions that Palin’s youngest child, Trig, is actually Bristol’s. And now Palin’s teenage daughter’s pregnancy has been exposed. P

The McCain camp had this to say:

“The smearing of the Palin family must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie,” said McCain senior adviser Steve Schmidt. “The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it.”

Makes you feel sorry for the Palin family, whether these allegations are true or not. They’ve been through quite a bit this past week. What do you guys think?

  2. By nominating Palin, McCain is the one putting her and her family through all of this.

By accepting the nomination, Palin herself is also putting herself and her family through it all.

The lying Palin deserves all the ugly truths that come out of this utterly disgraceful, insane choice of a VP candidate.

I believe Palin said it best when she said that Hillary should stop whining about sexism in the media. There should be no double standard. If McCain can make crude remarks about Chelsea Clinton, if Romney can make up lies about Michelle Obama, if Palin can openly lie about Obama’s record during her acceptance speech, I don’t see why Palin’s family is off limits. She opened the door to all of this.

On top of this, the American people have a right to know more about someone who may potentially lead our country. I think overall, questions about Palin’s family life should be off limits. HOWEVER, McCain is just using this as a smoke screen against press inquiries into other relevant matters, including TROOPERGATE, the fact that Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere before it was politically expedient for her to be against it, her anti-choice position, her pro-creationism, etc.

Here are 130 things you should know about Palin’s record before you go to the polls:

Agree that Sarah Barracuda DID open herself and her family to all this scrutiny. She more than anyone should have known better, because SHE is most familiar with her life and knows what “DIRT” is likely to be found.

Having daughter Bristol HIDE her bulging belly behind that white ’shawl’ thing was goofy and shows that Palin is into “cover ups” as needed for her own political expediency.

Why should I feel sorry for the Palin family? Ms. Palin accepted the job offer, and she should have known that there’d be attention on her background and family, just like with any other candidate. The GOP spares nothing in its swift-boating of other, so why should we feel sorry when the GOP cops the same treatment? Seems the republicans can dish it out but can’t take it.

I think that if Palin can’t stand the heat, she should get out of the kitchen. When Palin’s private life gets 25% of the scrutiny given Obama, or 10% given Clinton (which would be twice the scrutiny given McCain), then she can complain. Until then, it’s politics, and politics in the 21st century means you allow and welcome the media to look at your private life.

I feel no more sorry for Palin than I did for Obama. Look what the Republicans and the media put him through. Remember Rev. Wright? That New Yorker cover? All the insinuations about Obmama’s background that proved untrue, the attacks on his wife?

Any political newcomer who decides they want to occupy the White House, or be a heartbeat away from it, had better be ready for a thorough going-over, fair or unfair.

How else are the American people going to learn what we need to know?

I completely support extreme scrutiny of such people since I have a grandson serving in Iraq and I want to know every single thing there is to know about the qualifications of those who want to either further endanger him or bring him home.

Sara Palin leads her life OUT OF CONTROL. I’d be embarassed to even be a friend of hers. I guess her job is more important than being a mother. When she fails and we notice, she tries to tell us that we really don’t know how difficult it is. Well then Sara, stop fvcking around but if you do so, make sure your husband is making sure your kids are not getting knocked-up even though you are their role model, getting knocked-up too.

As I surf through the blogs, I see a lot of misinformation out there about Sarah Palin. I’m sure there are things that she has done that is deserving of scrutiny. I have followed politics for a long time and cannot remember such a visceral attack on one human being in such a short period of time. I ask you to reference several unbiased sources before passing judgement. Lastly, try not to look through your own ideological lens. It does you no good to be so rabid. It’s just politics, either your guy will win or will lose. It’s not the end of the world.

Honestly, this is what the Palin family gets for going from no name to big name. This is the game politics, if you cant handle it, get off the playing field.

John McCain has been in the field for many many years so his dirty laundry like his affair, Keating 5 scandal, his wife’s drug addiction, his anger management issues, etc have all been aired to the public-ironically, the conservative party is okay with this because he is “one of their own” now.

Fortunately, for the democrats, Obama is young enough and “middle class” enough to have lived a very normal life. The worst people can come up with is he is a Muslim, to which i say wow…

Palin, this is the life you have chosen for yourself and your family. Suck it up and play ball.

Mrs Sarah Palin had an affair. Senator John McCain cheated on his first wife with the present one. What? Family values? It gets better. James Hensley, the war-hero, father-in-law of John McCain was a convicted felon in 1948. That is the part of the biographical sketch the McCains love to forget. Jim Hensley as that war-hero was affectionately called was also in with the mob and the bootleggers. That is how Senator McCain, the war-hero, puts America first. Senator McCain is putting his country first when he follows the self-interest advice of his lobbyist foreign policy adviser who until recently was a lobbyist for the government of Georgia to say “We are all Georgians today” and shoots from the hips towards Russia. My friends, should we remember that Hitler, the worst demagogue, was also a decorated war-hero, who had no intellect and nothing to offer but patriotism. John McCain’s academic records particularly from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1958 are very disturbing. He graduated 6th from the bottom of a class of 899. Sounds familiar?

wow, kkrae. did you really just call obama a baby killer? kind of hypocritical of you dont you think? palin thinks all abortions should be banned, including pregancies from incest and rape, and yet the mccain-palin ticket cuts funding for the types of programs to help women through these traumatic events. you are telling me you want to force women in these situations to have these children and then you want them to figure out the psychological issues on their own bc you dont want governemt in our lives to provide these types of social programs. moreover, the mccain-palin ticket is against abortion but they do not want to fix a broken foster and adoption system. great solution: force women to have these babies and put these kids in horrible situations in unsafe and broken homes…at least they have life and if the republican party is in control, no breaks to help them get out of it. lastly, palin doesnt want to support any method of birth control to reduce the number of abortions. news flash, not every person in this country is christain and not everyone abides by “no sex before marriage” biblical talk. class acts, you guys are. it really does help if you look beyond your morally righteous attitude and look at the reality of the situation at hand. if you dont want abortion, why dont you fix the broken system?

    AJG;
Finally, someone who gets it. What a great post!

McCain, Palin, and most Rebups out there are totally hypocrites and contradict themselves at every turn. Last night I heard McCain say “I believe in equality for all people.” Well, if that’s the case, then why be against and ban gay marriage? That’s not equal rights for all. Or how about equal pay for equal work? McCain and Palin both believe that men should get paid more the doing the same job as a woman. What’s equal about that? John McCain was quoted as saying that his idea of a middle class American is someone who makes less then $5,000,000 a year. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? I don’t even know anyone that makes anywhere close to that amount of money and I live in a fairly small town of middle Americans.
McCain and Palin have done nothing but lie over the past 2 days during their speaches. They spent hours between the two of them slamming Obama and giving us their complete bios but not giving us any kind of insight as to what they will actually bring to office.

By accepting the nomination for VP Palin should have known that her family was going to be thrust into the spotlight. Her family should be no more off limits then any other celebrity family we read about every day, if anything we as the people should know all there is to know. After all, she could be making decisions for us in the long run. They want to preach family values, but I think the track record of both of these candidates show that they themselves lack in family values. How contradictory of Palin to preach about the importance of raising a family and protecting them at all costs when she is knowingly putting them through scrutiny and if she actually makes it to office, won’t be around for the most important and changing time of her infants life.

I’ll admit that there are things to like about her and at first glance she has a certain appeal about her, but read between the lines and you’ll see a much grayer area.

Bottom line is that voting McCain and Palin into office will only bring at least 4 more years of a suffering economy and ingoring middle America. History shows that during the term of the last democratic president (Clinton) the US has a surplus, was free of debt and had great public relations abroad. The last 8 years Bush has sunk this country, its economy, and it’s public relations and he has failed as a whole.

Funny how people who purport to be “Christian” and know the bible don’t actually have a clue about what Jesus’ message to the world was . . . Jesus and any other decent human being would be ashamed to be associated with the booing haters at the Republican convention who spent all their time denigrating others, not providing any real solutions to the issues that plague our country. I feel sorry for them when they go to their judgment day . . . they are in for a big surprise! This threat of the National Enquirer by John McCain is laughable. When Corsi’s book of lies came out, he asked that Obama keep his sense of humor. Gee, where’s his? Humor as long as the butt of the joke is Hillary, Chelsea, women or Obama. Right…. Palin wanted to be veep, she is getting the spotlight and all the nastiness of being vetted. Scott Ritcher and Brad Hanson are two names that make you go hmmmmm….

When is Sarah Palin going to answer some of the questions that keep swirling around her?
What is the McCain camp afraid of??
Can they succeed in keeping her away from the media for the next two months??
If the media does not keep pressing her to address these issues, then they should be called sexist.. guilty of treating her specially because of her gender.
WE simply must insist that she submit to the same scrutiny as any other candidate for office!

I don’t think anyone with 4 children would need to keep secret about the 5th pregnancy till 7th month. It would be impossible anyways, let alone no one actually noticed any sign of the 5th pregnancy by 7th month. Then there was the speech, 8 hr flight, and 45 min drive to the small village to have the baby. Was it private doctor calling better-come-now-daughter-baby-a-waiting?

Daughter was taken out of school for 8 months? No classmate knew where she went? Mother claimed pregnant a month before the baby came with no showing or signs, not even during the 8 hr flight after water broke? No one on the plane noticed anything out of ordinary? Why took so much risk with the baby? Why not stay in Texas to have the baby, for the baby’s sake?

Is daughter “real” pregnant now? Or is it “after-baby-fat”? Why is daughter looking “after-baby-size and mom not at all?

Which is a better “off-limit” story choice, “Daughter is 5 months pregnant” or “Sarah is not the mother of the baby”? Why “5″ months? Is it to “avoid” 11-months-apart-babies-speculation?

Why not show some photos of “Trig-pregnancy” from March 2008 to April 2008, with beehive-do?

Less than 2 months to go, keep up the busyhide-do!

Why on Earth should the media “go easy on her”? She is a rabid attack dog who should be treated like a Yorkie??? I don’t think so.

I don’t think she expected this much scrutiny, because Alaska politics are much, much different. For one thing, 75% of the state is republican. And anyone who crossed or opposed her up there was quickly fired or gagged. Upon taking office as Governor, she quickly issued a gag order that no state employee was allowed to talk to any press, or be fired. That crap don’t fly here in the lower 48.

    Welcome to the Mainland, Sarah.

    Palin:
She has next to no experience in government. When ask about national security back ground or knowledge regarding foreign affairs the best Ms. McCain could come up with was “she lives right by Russia.”

She has only traveled outside the country twice in her life.

She was associated with to a 3rd party which among other things supports allowing Alaska to secede from the United States and feels the only thing wrong with the John Birch Society was it was to liberal! Her husband “First Dude” was registered as a member of this party between 1994 and 2004!

She tried to have a local Librarian fired for not banning books. She used her political office to try to have fired and smear a state trooper who is in a custody battle with her sister. She fired the guy who stood his ground and would not fire the trooper. She is being investigated for this and is worried enough about the outcome to have recently “lawyered up.”

Palin currently has pretty messy family issues. She recently gave birth to a son with Downs Syndrome and has a 17 year old daughter who is pregnant. Ironically she has fought sex education in the schools and availability of contraception for minors. I am glad she was able to make the choice to carry her disabled son to term…we all need the right to make our own choices!!!

She believes that for 9 months a woman has no right to control what is happening to her own body and is basically nothing more than a baby container. She does not believe in a women’s right to choose to end a pregnancy, even if she has been raped.

She tried to force her under age daughter into a marriage of political convenience, but her daughter would have none of it. Her oldest son may have joined the military to keep from going to jail. He and his 3 friends apparently caused $10,000 damage to a fleet of school busses. Track ( Palin’s son) was 16 at the time and was likely the one who provided he alcohol consumed by himself and the other 3 youths involved. There are multiple pictures showing both of her teenage (under age) children drink alcohol.

She has allowed her pregnant daughter, Bristol and her daughter’s boyfriend, Levi, to drop out of their Senior year of high school. They are on the campaign train with her as her own pro-life poster children. She reminds me of Lynn Spears (you know Britney and Jamie Lynn’s mother) as she seems to see nothing wrong with exploiting your children for your own fame and gain.

It has been reported she had an affair with her husbands business partner. Wow, if this is an example of “family values” I am very confused.

She does not believe human pollution has anything to do with global warming (even Bush has had to back down on this one). Is so in bed with big oil she is willing to watch as the polar bear and beluga whales become extinct, rather than slow the possibility of drilling. She would open up one of the last great wilderness on earth to exploitation by oil interests.

She laughed when hearing a fellow Republican woman being called a bitch in public (she and the woman had disagreed on several issues) I guess this does make her on par with McCain who thinks it is alright to call your wife a cunt in public.

She has been repeatedly described as stubborn with a vicious streak – even by family and friends. (nick name Sarah Barracuda)

Has an undergraduate degree in Journalism for a small obscure university. It took her six years and at least 5 different colleges to manage to get this undergraduate degree. Most people who have been in school that long have a Masters at least. If she were any kind of a student she could have been within 2 years of having her doctorate.

She did fund raising for Sen. Ted Stevens (think major Alaskan corruption) and accepted money from the same sources as Sen. Ted Stevens. She pushed for the “bridge to no where – the flipped when convenient to do so. In spite of what she has said she fought for earmarks for her home town and state…some of the same one condemned by McCain. She left the town she was major of in debt. Think pushing huge costly money pit sports complex at the expense of roads and sewer systems.

She has been named Sen. John McCain’s VP selection for the Republican ticket. Sen. McCain is 72 years old and has reoccurring cancer as part of his health history. One can not help but question Mr. McCain’s judgment regarding her selection. John McCain has made a calculated political choice in selecting his VP, that has unfortunately put an undereducated, inexperienced right wing nut case a “heart beat” away from becoming President at a time when our Nation faces some of the most complex and volatile issues it has in decades.

I am a Christian and a pastors wife…I was not completely decided on my vote until I really started to look into what this woman has done and what she stands for…she does not have my vote!
