Neil Diamond refunds tickets for concert.
Posted on September 1, 2008Neil Diamond has done an unprecedented first in the music industry for many years. Diamond offered his fans who attended a concert in Columbus, Ohio, a refund because he felt his voice was raspy.
Diamond felt he gave a sub standard performance. He was diagnosed with acute laryngitis after his gig and then he cancelled two more concerts that followed.
After his performance at Columbus, Diamond wrote an apology on his website. He said sorry for letting his fans down. Then he decided to refund the tickets.
Neil Diamond enjoyed a spurt in popularity in 2008 after 50 years in the music business. Part of the reason could be because he was featured in one episode of American Idol where the contestants had to sing Neil Diamond songs.
