Lindsay Lohan’s Grandfather Dies: Will Tragedy Bring Lohan Family Together? (Photos)

Lindsay Lohan’s paternal grandfather died, Michael Lohan’s father, and Lindsay seems to hope her family can come back together.

Michael Lohan has recently said he thinks Samantha Ronson is a negative influence on his daughter, which really pissed Lindsay and Samantha off. Both Lindsay and Sam took to their Myspace blogs to rip Michael Lohan a “new one”.

Not to be outdone, Michael Lohan lashed back out at Lindsay yesterday. But after his father’s death, will the Lohan family reconcile?

Richard Lohan, Michael’s father, passed away Thursday after his battle with colon cancer. This tragedy seems to have brought their family back together.

“I was holding him, laying in bed with him, when he died,” Michael Lohan tells E! News.

“Lindsay did reach out to me. She sent me a message this morning. She said, ‘Now papa has found peace and maybe we can find peace in our lives, too.’ “

Michael Lohan just recently became engaged to Erin Muller, but had put off making a huge deal out of it due to his father’s health.

Richard Lohan had been ill for quite some time now, and the cancer had spread to his lungs. Lindsay visited her grandfather in Long Island, NY during the Easter holiday.

Even with his father’s death, and the problems with Lindsay going on, Michael Lohan still can’t keep himself from talking bad about ex-wife Dina Lohan.

Michael Lohan said, “My son Michael called and he was wonderful. He’s coming home to be with me for a fews days. I spoke to Ali and Cody, too. I’m hoping they will come to the wake. I asked her if she’s going to be at the wake, but it sounds like Dina is discouraging her from going. She’s deterring her from going to the wake, to the funeral. I said, ‘It’s only right that you go.’ But Dina hasn’t called, absolutely not. She’s too busy out having fun in the Hamptons.”

Our condolences to the Lohan family. Hopefully they can come together and stop their war of words now.
